Remicade Cancers

A 2006 study conducted at the Mayo Clinic found that rheumatoid arthritis patients taking drugs such as Remicade face triple the risk of developing cancer.

This new study suggests that the arthritis drug significantly elevates the risk of a number of Remicade cancers including that of the breast, lungs, skin and gastrointestinal tract.

A close connection
This and other studies appear to suggest a close connection between Remicade and gastrointestinal cancer in older patients, patients on high Remicade dosages and those who have undergone multiple Remicade infusions.

People with a previous history of cancer or other serious disease but who take Remicade are also at an increased risk of gastrointestinal cancer or liver damage.

Mayo Clinic study on Remicade
The Mayo Clinic study also found that rheumatoid arthritis patients taking Remicade or related drugs are two times more likely to develop serious infections, such as tuberculosis, pneumonia, and skin problems than those who are not taking the drug.

If you or a loved one has suffered these or other side effects from Remicade, you may be eligible for compensation for your losses and suffering. Please contact an experienced Remicade attorney to learn more about your legal options, including a Remicade lawsuit.
