In 2002, a study by the Women’s Health Initiative revealed that the use of hormone replacement therapy drugs such as Premarin and Prempro during menopause could increase a woman’s risk of developing breast cancer or other side effects. Many women have filed lawsuits against the manufacturers of HRT drugs, alleging that their symptoms were caused by the use of these products.
