PPH Treatments
Although there is no cure for primary pulmonary hypertension (PPH), doctors may prescribe a number of treatment options depending on the specifics of your case. These options may include diet or lifestyle changes, prescription medications or surgery.
Although calcium channel blockers were once the most common drug treatment for patients with PPH, a number of newer drugs have helped patients with the disease to better manage their symptoms. Some of the most common drugs prescribed to treat the symptoms of PPH include Flonan, Tracleer and Remodulin. Other drugs such as Revatio, warfarin (Coumadin), digoxin, diuretics and Viagra may also be prescribed.
If you have been diagnosed with primary pulmonary hypertension and have taken the diet drug combination Fen Phen, or herbal Fen Phen products containing ephedra or ma huang, you may be eligible to file a lawsuit.
