Officials offer free child safety seat checks for parents
Police departments and safety officers across the country have begun offering free child safety seat inspections to parents in an effort to increase the proper use of these devices. Officials in New York, Virginia, Connecticut and many other states have all recently held baby car seat checks.
Combi USA issues baby car seat recall
A leading manufacturer has issued a car seat recall for more than 67,000 of the car seats it produces. Combi USA has announced the recall of Combi Centre, Combi ARB and Combi Shuttle car seats over concerns that they could fail to properly protect a child from injury in the event of a car accident.
Fed orders Evenflo car seat recall due to ?catastrophic? failure
The Evenflo Company has announced a car seat recall for four models of its Discovery Infant Car Seat. The decision to initiate the Evenflo car seat recall was made after federal crash tests revealed that the seat could become separated from its base in the event of a side impact collision. The recall notice involves about 1 million car seats manufactured beginning in April 2005.
